Mark Ellis FCCA CPFA

Mark Ellis began his accountancy career in practice with a local firm of chartered accountants.

Training for ACCA, Mark qualified in 1993 and worked his way up to Audit Manager responsible for a wide portfolio of corporate clients before in 1997, deciding to leave practice and pursue a career in industry.

Mark took up the role of company accountant for three years before in 2000 deciding to move into the public sector and higher education.

Following his successful transition into higher education, Mark went on to study CIPFA to give valuable insight into public sector finances.

Mark founded the AccountancyStudents site in order to help students and in 2008 invited Steve Collings, a then regular contributor, to become a partner.
