CIMA supports IFAC report on the financial reporting supply chain

CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) will contribute to the debate on ‘Financial Reporting Supply Chain Survey: Current Perspectives and Directions’ – a report commissioned by the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC).

The report, which launched today (7 March GMT), was overseen by Norman Lyle, a former CIMA President and retired group finance director of Jardine Matheson Holdings Ltd in Hong Kong. Over 200 people gathered at the University of Strathclyde to hear the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) President address local business professionals and celebrate the growing success of CIMA in Scotland.

CIMA appoints new Head of Corporate Communications

CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) is delighted to announce the appointment of Victor Smart as Head of Corporate Communications at its global headquarters in London.

CIMA updates risk guidance on pensions

CIMA (The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) has today issued an update to its guidance to organisations on how to manage the corporate risk of pension schemes. ‘The pension liability - managing the corporate risk’ was successfully launched in November 2006 and our new version can be downloaded for free at http://www.cimaglobal.com/pensions.
