ACCA Exam Results December 2008

So another sitting passes and another set of exam results are issued—where does all this time keep going to?
Congratulations to all those who passed their exams. Special congratulations go to the new Affiliates who are now about to embark on the journey of hopefully reaping the rewards of their hard work over the past few years. For those who failed, then dust yourself down and let’s get prepared for June 2009!
Some of you may already have got back to the grind of studying ready for the June 2009 examination session, others may be looking forward to starting their courses very soon and others might even still be contemplating which papers to sit, where to do them and where to study.
Whatever you decide, you can rest assured that AccountancyStudents will be here to guide you through your exams whether you are a distance learner or a full-time student. Steve posts lots of ‘FAQs’ in the ‘Steve’s Q&A Forum’ which can be found under ‘Technical Queries’ in the main discussion forums, so keep your eye out in here as he could answer a question he has been asked, which might be relevant to a paper you are sitting this June!
We have several articles in the pipeline between now and the revision sessions. Steve has recently published an IAS 7 (Cash Flow Statement) article which gives a comprehensive overview of the (quite complicated) Statement of Cash Flows. Steve will also be producing an IAS 11 (Construction Contracts) article in the next couple of weeks, together with a detailed look at IAS’s 32, 39 and IFRS 7 which is always a student’s favourite (not) - ‘Financial Instruments: Presentation, Financial Instruments: Recognition and Measurement and Financial Instruments: Disclosure, respectively.
For the new members (who we also extend a warm welcome), there are lots of articles available for various papers to aid your revision, which can be found under the ‘Articles’ section on the Homepage.
