Shortlisted for PQ Website of the Year 2009

AccountancyStudents were proud to be shortlisted for the PQ Magazine ‘Website of the Year Award 2009’. The awards ceremony was held at Quaglinos in London on Monday 23 February 2009 and we can safely say a good night was had by all.
Unfortunately, AccountancyStudents did not win the award, but we were told by PQ staff that our site had received lots of excellent feedback. We would like to thank all of you who nominated us and we will continue to strive to provide all the resources you need to assist you in your studies.
In addition to ourselves being shortlisted, a couple of our contributors had also been shortlisted. Clare Finch who you all know on the forums as our resident ACCA Paper P2 expert was shortlisted for ‘Tutor of the Year’. Clare is author of the 5 star-rated ‘A Students Guide to IFRS’ and we will bring you further details of the second edition of this book in a separate article. Clare works for Kaplan Birmingham who was also shortlisted for ‘Tuition Provider of the Year’.
Tom Clendon who has also contributed articles to our site won the ‘Tutor of the Year’ award and AccountancyStudents would like to congratulate you, Tom, on your success.
Last, but certainly not least, is our partner, PASSACCA.NET who was also shortlisted in our category for the PQ Magazine Website of the Year award. Our colleague, Rob Weaver and his team provide audio downloads for most ACCA papers, the details of which can be seen at www.passacca.net. These audio downloads have been written by professionally-qualified tutors, many of whom mark the real papers so these are a fantastic investment - especially for revision ‘on the move’.
Once again, thanks to all of you who nominated our website. Without our contributors and students we would not have achieved such a milestone.
