Ronald McDonald House Charity

image

Steve Collings who is one of the partners in AccountancyStudents and who writes all our financial reporting and auditing articles is trying to raise funds for the Ronald McDonald House Charity whose main objective is to provide accommodation for the parents of sick children.

As some of you may be aware, Steve’s niece, Gabriella, has recently undergone two rounds of major heart surgery.  She was born with a condition known as Complete Atrio Ventricular Septal Defect which means she was born with 2 holes in the heart and only 1 heart valve instead of 2.

Ronald McDonald House is a complex on the grounds of Alder Hey Childrens Hospital which allows parents of sick children to be near them during their stay in this amazing hospital.  Unfortunately this complex gets full which sometimes means parents have to travel long distances to be near their children.  The Charity is seeking to raise funds to extend the complex and build more complexes to help families of sick children.

Steve’s articles and input on the main discussion forums come with no charge to students but he does ask that if you have had a question answered by Steve or used one of his articles recently to help in your studies, if you could make a donation.  It doesn’t matter how little the donation is because every penny counts.

You can make a donation at http://www.justgiving.com/gabriellacollings

Many thanks
Mark
