AccountancyStudents in 2010

At AccountancyStudents we recognise that our members want access to the best resources available in order to ensure they stand the best chance of success in their exams. In 2010, we will be seeking to bring you more resources to help you realise your ambitions and pass your exams. With exams becoming increasingly demanding and with students often juggling study with other commitments, we have been actively seeking ways in which we can meet your requirements.
Â
2010 will see AccountancyStudents bringing you more resources, in particular:
Â
Additional Reading by our Very Own Steve Collings
Steve Collings, who is a partner in AccountancyStudents.co.uk has produced a book titled ‘The Core Aspects of IAS and IFRS’ which is available for download from www.amazon.co.uk This publication strips out the complexities and looks at the ‘core requirements’ of IFRS and IAS. Steve recognises that students often benefit from ‘flash cards’ and this book is designed to be just that. At 104 pages long, covering all the relevant IFRS/IAS it enables students to easily digest the complexities of accounting standards.
Â
In addition, Steve is also producing a title for a very well-known and reputable publisher which is due for publication in the second half of 2010. This publication concerns the clarified auditing standards and we shall bring you further details on this publication in the next couple of months. Details of this publication will also feature in our forthcoming newsletters.
Â
Expanding our Partner Portfolio
Recently we have partnered with www.tonysurridge.co.uk who offer study material at extremely competitive prices. Tony Surridge is an award-winning tuition provider whose track record in getting students through their exams is second to none. We are also partners with www.passacca.net who offer exam-tailored resources at very competitive prices. Also for those of you studying financial management papers, Sunil Bhandari of www.intelligentaccountancytutors.co.uk offers FREE (yes, free!) resources as well as a technical support service.
Â
We are also partners with www.knowyoursubject.com who offer students reasonably priced study material to help you develop your technical knowledge and prepare you for your exams.
Â
Articles
As always, AccountancyStudents will feature articles from our resident financial reporting and auditing expert, Steve Collings who will be producing articles on various financial reporting and auditing subjects as well as looking at some Company Law and taxation issues. Keep an eye out on the Homepage for details of these. We will also be featuring articles from tutors who will publish articles on our site to help you with paper-specific subjects. We will feature links to the articles in the forthcoming newsletters.
Â
Technical Support
In the lead up the June examinations, we shall be featuring a series of free tutorial support which will act as a technical support service for students. Details of when these services are available will be posted on the Homepage and will also be advertised in our forthcoming newsletters.
Â
Newsletters
We have mentioned the newsletters a couple of times. Our first newsletter of 2010 will be sent out to students prior to the much anticipated results release in February and will be sent out bi-monthly thereafter. These newsletters will bring the latest developments in accountancy as well as news and features which you may find of interest.
