After some changes in direction, some going in circles, a bad accountancy experience to a good one, I'm back! This forum appears to have died off lately, shame.
Still got 1 exam to go having started 7 years ago. Figure that I may as well complete the damn thing now I'm back in the game. Only issue is the re-registration fee of 79+79 that I owed when I was taken off the list - £158 + £108 for the exam.. Is £266 worth it for an exam I've failed 3 times?! It'll be audit which is no relevance to my job (practice, but no auditing) so I guess the only positive aspect is future jobs, saying 'qualified' surely helps. Just don't see where I'd benefit financially in the short term, and £266 is a heck of a hit to take!
Tax would be more relevant but I can't afford the courses or time off so decided against self studying that, therefore audit, with some brought forward knowledge, seems to be the better bet.
