How to study P3

Postby popeyeaccountant » Sat Sep 24, 2011 5:46 am

Does anyone have good tips on how to study for P3? I am trying to read the Kaplan text first and will attempt questions later. I have problems concentrating though since my interest in the subject is very low and can only keep the book open for 5 minutes at a time maximum.

Reading is really key in this but I would break it up a bit and read a chapter then do the related questions. There is lots of learning to do (I was exempt from the old 1.3 but had to do P3) and therefore learn all the models from scratch

I did find this one quite interesting but did have similar problems to you, question practice made it much more palatable! I also find it's one I think back to - I read Alan Sugars autobiography recently and he is absolutely fantastic at target costing which is why he's been such a success.
