I am in my notice period as a financial accountant and in 4/5 weeks time will start a new role with a PLC. Amongst other things, my role will cover hedging and derivatives.

I am 2.5 years post qualified and havent really looked at anything on this since i did my exams. I have been going through my study material and although i vaguely remember some of it, there are still some gaps in my knowledge.

Obviously i would like to hit the ground running, so i would be very grateful if anyone has and advice or knows of anywhere i could brush up on my technical skills.

Personally I would contact your future employer and ask them for more detail on what you will be doing…

Thnaks for your reply Ranje. I know what i will be doing in my new job, i have been to the interviews and read up on the job spec etc. The reason i have posted this on here is that i have been looking back over my study material and all the technical stuff isnt coming back to me like i thought it would.

I was hoping someone might have been able to give me some advice or any other info on these two subjects.
