We will be performing a major hardware upgrade on Friday, beginning at 21:00 BST.

The maintenance is expected to last 3 hours during which time AccountancyStudents.co.uk will not be available. Please make copies of any online resources that you may need during that time.

At midnight we will move onto our new ‘Owl’ server which will produce noticeable improvements in the speed of the site. As this involves changing our IP address and DNS settings it means that until your ISP updates its cache you will be directed to the old server. This is normally resolved within 24 hours but can take up to 72 hours.

In order to avoid confusion:

Old Server (Atlas)
This server will continue online for 72 hours and display an offline notice preventing any new posts or registrations being made. Therefore if you see an Offline notice you are looking at the old server - in which case please try again later.

New Server (Owl)
The new server will run the site as usual from midnight.

The hardware maintenance is now complete and the site successfully transferred to the new ‘Owl’ server.

There is an unrelated external problem with one of the RSS feed providers which we will correct by processing the external feeds on our new server.
