If both courses are the same length, then go for whichever is most convenient and suits your study style the best. I found some revision courses were less than two weeks before the exam which was too close for me. I felt I would only be left with a sense of panic over what I still needed to do and with little time in which to do it.
The revision courses are extremely useful, and for a home study student it’s good to find there are other students out there with the same questions and worries as you have.
In Glasgow Kaplan, the weekend courses were just that, Saturday and Sunday, with little price difference between that and a three day weekday course.
As part of your P2 study, it may be helpful to try some of the F7 past papers and see where your gaps are there. A good knowledge of the topic covered in F7 is essential for tackling P2. Try to get an up to date second hand revision kit if you can, as opposed to the papers on ACCA’s website, as the kit answers will be updated to include the latest changes in accounting standards (and there was a big change that affected consolidation around a year or so ago).
Good luck.
