Hello

Has anyone been on a taught course with BPP before? I need to know whether there is loads of note taking of is it just annotating the slides they give you?

Thing is my writing arm is in a cast at the moment and so I can’t write with it. If I’m going to need to write loads of notes then it’s probably not worth me going but if it’s just short notes on their slides then I might be able to manage with my left hand (bit slow but it’ll do!).

Would it be worth going anyway, to have someone teach it to you? I’ve already read the P2 book but to have someone teach it again might make it sink in properly etc.

This is my first P paper fwiw and only been on the revision courses before.

What do you think?

I have been on 7 BPP taught courses and they are really good. As far as the note taking is concerned, it depends on personal choice. They give you the set of notes they teach from and its upto the individual to decide what they want to take home.

Thanks (I did read your post when you posted it but didn’t get round to replying!).

As it happens I went for it and have been on the course the last 2 days and it’s been very good. Please I went even though my note taking is somewhat limited.

I do a BPP taught course, and I don’t make a lot of notes in class.  (admittedly CIMA not ACCA, but I doubt it would be any different)

Does your phone have recording facilities? If not, think about getting a digital voice recorder, ebay may have a bargain or a basic one from Amazon is about £20. Remember to check with your college if the lecturer would be happy with this first, tho.

Also, contact ACCA when you put in your exam entry form and ask for extra time in the exam. I’m assuming you will have the cast off by then, but your wrist/arm will still be healing and not be up to full muscle power/stamina by then.

Good luck with P2
