Hello, I am studying ACCA and hope to have passed 6 modules by the summer.

Having no experience in an accounting or finance role, finding any work whatsoever in this field will obviously prove a struggle, would you think that if I were to do a Sage Line 50 course it would make me a more attractive proposition to employers?

Also would you reccomend any other similar software based course I could do that would perhaps be more benefitial than this.

Thanks.

If you don’t have any experience I can’t see a Sage course helping you. Plus you won’t fully understand everything on the course anyway.

You really need to find a company that will give you training. They are out there, go and speak to many difference employment agencies if you haven’t already. You could also try writing letters to your local accountancy firms.

If you’ve already started ACCA you’re going to need experience to support that.

Experience will get you further than passed exams, especially at this stage

what you read in a text book can be very different to the real world, its better to put your learning into practice

Sage would only make you more attractive to companies that use sage anyway, quite a few do, but its usually smaller ones
