Hi,
I used the interactive + live for my exams. The video’s were very good, minor glitches to start with but other than getting your own buffering sorted this should all be sorted now. The new video’s for tuition were available every Monday for that weeks study and were spread over 10 weeks. The video’s varied in lenght some 30ish minutes some upto 1hour. I normally got a video on a chapter in the notes and then a question video - the lecturer working though a past exam question.
The live sessions, I think there were 4, were on what ever the lecturer had been contacted on, as well as lots of exam technique, how to do the paper and what not to waste your time on etc. You could also message the lecturer live and he/she could answer your query there and then if needed.
After the tuition stage came the revision stage. The revision notes turned out to be just some questions or where to find them on the Acca website. As we know the closer it came to exam time some of those questions disappeared (old syllabus). However the process I had was to work through the questions myself and then do them with the video’s, I can’t remember how many there were about 10 or so.
I had to have a Bpp text in the end, I had requested Kaplan but apparently they did not have any. The course comes with a set of notes via pdf and you can access these as soon as you have access to your course. The text took a while to come but hopefully they have this sorted however I did see a message the other day saying you would get their own text, not sure if this is hard or soft copy.
They did not provide me with any book other than the text. I sort of got the impression there were to be kits but there was none.
There are forums for each course which you can only access with the course and another forum for everyone registered (i think).
If you have any questions I’m more than happy to answer.
Overall I did enjoy using it as it was available when I could study and I could always rewind if needed.
