I also failed twice in P6 (last paper to pass) last time got 43 at this time got 44 and at this time i really did well in exam but still couldn’t pass. Now i think i should either go for Adv Financial Management instead of P6 or i should leave ACCA and go for career change. I don’t think so me & P6 are made for each other smile Any opinion ????

I think it would be really really foolish to leave ACCA with only 1 paper remaining.. Just get it done somehow.. I mean common, You passed the other 13 papers right? only the 14th is remaining.. You’ve made it so far, You can surely pass the remaining one too.

I totally agree with Alamode.  How do the practice questions go?  Is it worth asking somebody to mark several practice questions and getting full feedback? (Apologies for poor advice if you have already done this)

No point giving up when you only have one more to go.  all the time you spent on studying will be wasted. i am sure if you can pass the other P papers, you shouldn’t have problem passing P6.  also a lot of ppl would love to be in our positions right now.

ive done all mine by home study, alone, passed all first time so far, most comfortably - so it can be done! however i only did 2 a time at intermediate (syllabus changed when i came to start top level) and 1 a time for the P papers - i work fulltime and wished to also have some kind of life, so its taken me longer than it might have, but as this studying since 2005 has lead me to develop RSI, another problem i wont divulge and the stress from the last exam triggered the onset of crohns disease in me in hindsight i wish i’d never started studying for ACCA but now i only have one left, to do next year when i;m well enough physically and mentally to cope with it, i have to see it through!

I PASSED P2 AND P7!!!!!

I PASSED P2!!!

Oh! How much relieved I am!

No more P2 !!!

Hey Acid,

I just wanted to congratulate you on your results, particularly P2 for which you seemed so uncertain…..brilliant news….

So you won’t have to follow up your threat and come to the UK to study P2 with me!!!

I’m very very pleased…enjoy your celebrations.

If you want a hand with P6, please get in touch.

I’m not a tutor, just an ex-student, now qualified, passed P6 a year ago, and now studying for my Chartered Tax Advisor exams.

If you would like me to look over practice questions and/or give you any other help, please let me know either through these boards, or PM me.

I got:

94% F4 Law
88% F6 Taxation
84% F5 Performance Management

Was thrilled with the results as didnt know what to expect as they were the first written exams for me, unfortunately my next set of courses start in 4 days time so not much of a break lol!
