hey all,
I do home study and dont have any friends who are doing ACCA so i m not sure abt my results. these are my marks:
F1 81
F2 96
F3 84

Ive done A levels and alawys got As so these marks are very disappointing. cuz in A levels an A is from 90. What is an A in ACCA? plz reply as soon as possible. I know i passed. and Im glad. but i was expecting better so im a little disappointed.

Welldone on your excellent result.
I had a 1st Class in Accounting at university, and over the last 2 years, a 50 and above mark in ACCA has always been an achievement for me.. passed all 1st time except P6 which I haven’t passed again for the 2nd time….. Whether it is 50% or 99%, it is a pass

Well done needselp…thats amazing for a home studier!!  can you tell me how you study please…i.e. do you work full-time?  how many hours study a week do you do?  do you just work from the text books??

Many thanks!

Congrats everyone, and loads of new affiliates.

For those commiserating, and / or part way through, keep that end goal in sight.

Oh. and don’t let your boss persuade to take up further study, like mind did with CIoT!

Only did F9 due to work/life commitments and passed.  Home studied all the fundamentals! I’m now home studying P2…do you think it’s possible? I’m doing it regardless of what anyone thinks!

Hi Syke - Congrats on F9…yes it is possible to pass P2 by home study. I have used home study (BPP) books for all the papers so far….I only have P7 left to take and have had first time passes for all papers so far. Just keep motivated and you can do it!

Hi - Thanks for that response, i’m aiming for completion via home study only, it’s a personal challenge and I want to be able to tell others it’s possible, my brothers think it’s just because i’m tight and don’t want to pay tuition fees smile

A friend of mine has had horrible experiences with tuition, so makes me even more resolved to do it alone!

P2 PASS 56%.

just came back from holiday on sunday night.

slept really well and checked my result monday morning.  I couldn’t beleive it! i just stared at the screen for a minute to make sure this is correct.  i was so sure i will fail as i really struggled with one of the questions.

i managed to pass all 3 core paper the first time which is very pleasing.  i guess the many hours of revision i put in each night and weekend really paid off in the end.  only one more to go now and its Adv tax…which i failed twice already…

I also failed twice in P6 (last paper to pass) last time got 43 at this time got 44 and at this time i really did well in exam but still couldn’t pass. Now i think i should either go for Adv Financial Management instead of P6 or i should leave ACCA and go for career change. I don’t think so me & P6 are made for each other smile Any opinion ????
