Hi All,

Well the time has now arrived where Mark and I wish you guys all the best of luck for Monday.  We have opened up this “sticky” thread so you can all share your anxieties/frustrations/excitement, whatever it may be, during the final lead up to the results release on Monday.  We know from the activity on the boards that the last weekend before the results release is a very fraught time for you all.

AccountancyStudents would like to wish you all the very best of luck for Monday and I look forward to seeing lots of success stories on this thread very soon and providing you with lots of additional support during the next phase of study for December 2009.

Kind regards

Steve

I hate these last few days - I am so so stressed! And again the question - why can’t ACCA release them on a Friday? My friend who does CIMA said theirs are emailed on a Friday, which would be so much nicer!

Good luck everyone!

Thanks a lot Steve and Mark for this thread. I’m more confident about the results this time than last session.
I hope the results will prove me right.

Good luck to all.

I like getting them on a Monday personally - bad news on a Friday would ruin the weekend and I usually don’t need good news to celebrate the weekend. It’s an exciting start to the week aswell.

Im very calm about my results this session - not because I think Ive done amazing or anything, just because I know Ill be ‘there or thereabouts’ with them so a fail just means the hassle of a resit and not a major depression/reexamining of whether Im doing the right thing etc.

For F4 I know (!) Ive passed (easily the best an exam has gone for me so far), F5 was a resit and Im sure I know the course well enough/did enough to pass, F7 was a definite fail unfortunately (I only attempted about 50% of the paper) but I was winging it here so December it is and then F9 which I cant call at all, and after looking at the answer script I feel a lot more pesimistic. Somewhere between 45% and 55% Id say and either result will feel right. Such fine margins really, what exams are all about I suppose.

Hopefully there’ll be alot of good news for everyone, best of luck.

Hi Everyone,

I am also new to this forum, but already feel like I know you all (after reading Dec 08, Jun 08, Dec 07 etc…. posts).

I am waiting for P2, P6 and P7 results, so I will keep you company on Sunday night/Monday morning.

Fingers crossed (or ‘thumbs hidden’ as we say in my country)and good luck!

I have just checked out the answers to F5 and I know now that I’ve definitely failed.  At least I can get a good night’s sleep on Sunday now.

Good luck to everyone

Chafinch, look through the old results threads and you will see the same comments from me, followed by whoops of delight when I found I’d passed.

Without having a copy of your script, you can’t ever be sure of what you wrote. And the answers are ‘model answers’ i.e. the ideal answers. There are lots more marks for method than there are for the right answer. And written questions can often be answered in many different ways, and the model only gives one possibility.

Keep your chin up, don’t count your chickens, and I hope you get a good surprise on Monday.
