No dividend payable will be shown at the yr end?

Is this statement, WHAT?

Like what I know is S***T, seriously what does it mean. Dividends are given and paid and shown in stock exchanges announcements and all that.

Is the statement referring to proposed dividends at the year end?

If so look to the provisions in IAS 37 -you cannot include proposed dividends in the year end accs if they were not declared before the reporting date as you do not have a legal or constructive obligation at the reporting date.

Dividends paid are not shown on the face of the SOCI they are shown within the statement of changes in equity.
