Hi everyone…glad to see an active accountancy forum.

Im 22 currently employed with one of the big 4. Completed my ACCA exams in Dec 2007. Looking forward to meet new friends here.

Working here is nice but practices don’t differ much from a medium tier or small firms. The only difference is that big4s always have big clients.

Cool because I work for a pretty small firm and have never treally regretted it - I love my job, just wanted to see if there were any major differences or if I am missing anything lol wink

Im learning on the Job doing my AAT intermediate level at the mo wink

Always seem to have to juggle things - never have enough hours in the day but am determined so will continue to push for it smile

Its ok i don’t like bragging about myself anyhow lol. Iv completed CAT and ACCA exams as a full time student. Currently working and planning to move to a different country but lack of experience is messing up with my plans.

So work work work and get the experience needed to move to where you want to go? What kind of countries did you want to work in?

Im 27 lol - started off working in the media industry in PR and then insurance and then somehow fell into this!!!! Luckily the company like me and are willing to pay for my training wink

smile you have been lucky. I would like to settle down in Canada. Currently residing in U.A.E. I have a 3yrs contract with my current employer so can’t move in the near future. May be after i have completed my training i can think about it.

Whereabouts in Canada were you thinking of? Its lovely out there I went two years ago and had an absolute blast!!!! Its definately somewhere I’d go back to one day smile

UAE aye… Well at least your getting some sunshine then… The weather here has been pants this year and just continues to get worse! So its 3 years well spent really!

Yah Toronto is awsome I would definately recommend it - Its where I stayed when I went there and it has everythign you could want and is so multi-cultural I love it smile

You know one of my friends is always in and out of Dubai and she is always going on about it so it must be great to actually get to live and work there… Lucky you smile
