Waksta - February 19 2008 12:29 PM

I have applied for a review of the results (£50) but I need to know where I went wrong for June otherwise the same thing could happen. 6 more months without a payrise :(

Hi Waksta

I know how you feel - its even worse when you get borderline fail! I failed 3.5 (now p3) in June 07 sitting with 49% and i wrote so much with 10 mins to spare. i was gutted and wanted to get script review. But then i figured what the heck, i have to re-sit the paper again anyway, so what difference does it make. I just practiced on my written technique and believe it or not i wrote a lot less on paper P3 and passed it with 55%.

i guess what i’m trying to say is - its all about the technique. you can write 10 sentences on 1 point and get zero or you can write 1 sentence to make your point and score full or atleast half the marks!  smirk

Confirmation that I passed F2 & F3 by CBE in October
F1 73% - I thought I was gonna fail it because I’d finished in 40 minutes and started changing answers.  I handed my paper in after 50 minutes so I couldn’t change any more.  Not bad for 5 weeks studying the text book!
3 down 11 to go - a long way to catch up to everyone else here :(
I was thinking about F4, F7 and F8 for June, any opinions on this combination?
Congratulations to everyone who passed and commiserations to those who didn’t.

Anyone know when the pass rates are due to be posted?

If i remeber correctly, the June 07 pass rates were issued almost immedialtely after the results were announced.

I was wondering that; apparently the pass rates are quite bad for F7.

With regards to people considering administrative reviews, I don’t know if you’ve heard that around 2000 scripts got stolen. Fortunately, there were already marked and place in a van. The van got stolen. Just thought you might want to know.

If I were in charge, I’d pass all those whose scripts were nicked. Not everyone will agree with my sentiments but then again, it would remove the review risk altogether. wink

Wow, the pass mark for F5 Performance management is very very low.

I wonder if they might make the June exam a little easier considering the pass rate is bloody lower than the profession performance Managent module lol

Ignoring the first three papers, I’d say the pass marks are pretty shocking

As per Pass Magazine. Never quite understand why they get them prior to ACCA getting their act together.
