Another all nighter on Sunday!!! Hotmail better not let me down

Shall we make a date to meet in the chat room when we can’t sleep?

Every time I think about next monday I feel I even woke up this morning and thought for a split second it was next Monday and leapt out of bed to look at my emails before realising what a complete plonk I am. Actually I wouldn’t mind hibernating this next week away.

It’d be nice if they came before I went to work

The latest I’ve ever received mine was about 5 o’clock in the afternoon.

I was in France and had set my email up to be forwarded to my mobile phone by text message. I was fairly frantic by the middle of the afternoon because I thought it wasn’t coming and I wasn’t due home until the next day. My husband’s boss was trying to log onto ACCA’s website for me at 4 o’clock but I couldn’t for the life of me remember my student number correctly.

By the time the text message finally came through I was just about ready to swim home. I can still vividly remember the feeling of complete joy on discovering I had passed and I’ve NEVER forgotten my student number since!

Last time I got cold feet as some of my emails had gone missing and at the last minute changed to my hotmail address - what a mistake, the only time hotmail emails haven’t come through and we had no internet at work for that week!!

I had Peugeot on the phone telling me he was on the ACCA website,and could log into myACCA and did I want him to get my results.  Thank god I passed because I really pity him if he had had to tell me I failed!

Gone back to my own domain name again and ensured the ISP has the acca mail to ensure it doesn’t get spam trapped.

Also the latest mine have come is 8.45am

My results have always been in my inbox by 6:30am, I would be frantic if I had to wait for the afternoon!

I had a bit of a panic when I logged into myacca after they’d changed all the layout and couldn’t see the sentence “you have opted to receive your results by email” and was just faced with the sentence saying that I wasn’t an e-student.  Thought that it had been changed without me knowing.  I had to go through all the email confirmation stuff only to find that I was opted to receive by email but still think they should have it clearer when you log in.  I really don’t like the new myacca, think it’s a lot more confusing and difficult to find your way around.

I think my latest has been about 8am, and that was my first ones a couple of year ago. Since then, it’s always been around the 5-6 am mark.

I too use my own domain. However, I had to ring ACCA to reset my password in order to get my first set of results online. I’d forgotten when they were due out and all my colleagues were asking me how I’d done! I’d been late in to work as I’d been to an interview (officially called a dental appointment), so when a colleague asked how I’d done, I said ‘Not too bad, just a check up), she had the most confused look LoL !!!!

BTW, Caz, I only knew my student number as I had a copy of my exam entry form in my desk drawer!

I think going into the chat room sounds like a good idea, not been into it yet, will have a wee look later on or tonight.

In my day there wasn’t the email option - I had to wait for the postman - and he never arrived before I left for work so it was a case of waiting for a phone call and letting someone else open it and read the results or rushing home at lunchtime.

Either way not as convenient as email but nice to have the piece of paper in your hand as confirmation.

Just out of interest does anyone know when the results started to be sent by email?

The messages are sent out on Saturday, but are delivered first thing on Monday morning.

I’m really in two minds as to whether to faff around with the accamail or stick with Yahoo!

Not sure, but I sat my first exams in Dec 05, and it was an option then. So at least two years.

This week is going so slowly

Me too - I though I was going to have the day off on Monday, but now my plans have changed, so I’ll definitely be in the office!

I just hope they come before I go to work!
