Much note taking on BPP taught courses?

Hello

Has anyone been on a taught course with BPP before? I need to know whether there is loads of note taking of is it just annotating the slides they give you?

Thing is my writing arm is in a cast at the moment and so I can’t write with it. If I’m going to need to write loads of notes then it’s probably not worth me going but if it’s just short notes on their slides then I might be able to manage with my left hand (bit slow but it’ll do!).

Would it be worth going anyway, to have someone teach it to you? I’ve already read the P2 book but to have someone teach it again might make it sink in properly etc.

This is my first P paper fwiw and only been on the revision courses before.

What do you think?

Negative assurance is when an auditor gives assurance that nothing has come to his attention which indicates that the financial statements have not been prepared according to the framework. In other words he gives his assurance in the absence of any evidence to the contrary. (from book)

This is what I understood about negative assurance:

“Where the auditor concludes that there is no evidence that financial statements have not been prepared in accordance with a reporting financial framework.
Is this right? Otherwise, could anyone explain in a more simple way, what negative assurance is about?

Thank you for your help!

Hi
I am considering attempting F1 and F2 for self study using TonySurridge texts. Has anyone any experience of using these texts or should i go for Kaplan/BPP texts? I think I came across the website on this site actually. I guess what worries me if those study texts have all the info I need without me having to search elsewhere. I have browsed their website and there are also Q&A texts for the papers.

So worried, would appreciate any advice, thank you!

Just wondering which two optional papers people think are least difficult.

Please select two.
I know it’s subjective but I’d be interested to see what people think.

Currently torn between doing P6 and P4, P6 and P7 or P6 and P5!
