IFA sees Membership Soaring

David Woodgate, Chief Executive of the Institute of Financial Accountants has made tremendous in roads into his mission of turning around the Institute.
‘The excellent growth in membership certainly shows that the Institute is meeting its members needs and is an appropriate professional body for Financial Accountants and Managers – whether employed or in practice – to join’, said Woodgate.
‘The Institute is selectively building its presence in its chosen markets and developing products and services that will mean we will be increasingly seen as the as the natural home for Financial Accountants and Managers. Over the course of the next 12 months or so we will be implementing agreed strategies to underpin our market position and to make us even more attractive to both new and long term members’, he added.
The Institute has also recently appointed a new Director of Education – Heather Venis, she is focusing on the Institute to be complimentary to Chartered Accountancy qualifications, with its own niche in providing a variety of quality qualifications at a range of levels for the SME market.
‘We have a very strong team’, said Steve Boakes, Chief Operating Officer, Institute of Financial Accountants. ‘The last three months has seen a great increase in members and I am expecting this trend to continue’, he added.
