CIPFA Hails Improved Exam Results

CIPFA’s diploma students have achieved significant improvements in the June 2008 examinations.  Pass rates for Audit & Assurance jumping a full 11% and Accounting for Decision Making rising by 17%; two of the more challenging exam papers.  All the other diploma papers had pass rates similar to December’s good results except for Taxation which at 60% saw a noticeable drop from the 93% pass rate achieved six months ago.

New Chair of CIPFA National Student’s Forum

Judith Savage of Trafford Council has been elected as the new Chair of the CIPFA National Student Forum at the NSF Conference in Manchester.

The aim of the NSF is represent students at all levels within the Institute and support students through to full CIPFA membership. This year the NSF has worked on supporting students with the introduction of online learning. The NSF feeds back the collected comments and concerns of students directly to CIPFA.
