CIMA Publishes its May 2008 Exam Results

The May 2008 results mark the latest diet of exams of CIMA’s (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) current syllabus.  The latest round of exams showed some mixed performances and CIMA is pleased to note that overall the Managerial level global pass rates have increased when compared to November 2007, with the pass rates at Strategic level having dipped only slightly.

CIMA Equivalent to Master’s Degree

The CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) professional qualification is equivalent to a master’s degree, the independent UK agency responsible for government scoring of immigrants’ qualifications has said.

A point score of 35, the same as an MSc, has been awarded to the CIMA professional qualification by UK NARIC, the independent body that assesses and scores qualifications from around the world. The UK government uses this information on its official database to benchmark qualifications held by potential immigrants to the UK under its highly skilled worker programmes.

CIMA supports IFAC report on the financial reporting supply chain

CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) will contribute to the debate on ‘Financial Reporting Supply Chain Survey: Current Perspectives and Directions’ – a report commissioned by the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC).

The report, which launched today (7 March GMT), was overseen by Norman Lyle, a former CIMA President and retired group finance director of Jardine Matheson Holdings Ltd in Hong Kong. Scottish CIMA President in Glasgow to celebrate local business success

Over 200 people gathered at the University of Strathclyde to hear the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) President address local business professionals and celebrate the growing success of CIMA in Scotland.
