If you carried forward a pass from the previous examination structure (pre May 2007) then this will only be valid up to and including the November 2008 examination session.

The Association of Taxation Technicians today published the results of the ATT Certificate papers, held on 13 and 14 May 2008. The Association is pleased to report that a high standard of performance was achieved by many candidates.
The Association is pleased to also report that 287 candidates attempted the required four papers for membership and of those 138 (48%) passed all four papers.

The last date for receipt of examination entry forms is the last day of February for the May examination and the last day of August for the November examination. Note that the Association does not automatically send out examination entry forms. Entry forms received after the closing date will not be accepted. If your student registration lapses before the examination, you must apply to re-register when you submit your examination entry form. A new examination structure and syllabus was introduced in May 2007.
The new structure is a modular one offering a choice from seven freestanding Certificates of Competency. An individual working wholly in personal tax compliance, for example, will be able to take an examination in that topic only.
The certificate papers are:
- Personal Taxation
- Business Taxation & Accounting Principles
- Business Taxation: Higher Skills
- IHT, Trusts & Estates
- VAT
- Business Compliance
- Practice Administration & Ethics
