Welcome to my world

Monday 3 March 2008 - Will it ever end???

My boss has agreed to pay for my taught courses so I'm booked in and ready to start this Sunday.

I feel really guilty as I think I'm the last one to start studying again but I just can't seem to get up the motivation, it doesn't help that business analysis doesn't really interest me and I think Corporate reporting (which does) is going to be a complete mind blow.

On the health front, my voice is returned (sort of) and although I'm not supposed to shout, when your 5 year old is about to walk out into the road, there isn't much else you can do!  Apparently the lumps are likely to have been caused by my shouting under tension (who shouts any other way) so I have to have speech therapy to learn how to use my voice properly (not just extensively as I do now - got in before Caz could) and hopefully prevent a recurrence.

I'm really looking forward to Easter for a few days off with the family to lie in although you can bet that there will be course exams due!

Hi Annette

Sorry to hear you're not feeling so good just now. What exams are you hoping to sit in June-P2 & P3? When you say corporate reporting is a mind blow, is that good or bad?

I've just had my first P2 tuition day, and the tutor didn't fail to meet my expectations (and they were pretty high having had him before). What I struggled with over the weekend was second nature by the end of the day.

P3 isn't that bad really, and I had my doubts like you when I first started.

I hope you feel better soon, and if there's anything I can do to help, give me a yell.

Or a whisper.....seeing as our Annette is not supposed to be shouting?

Don't you worry about P2 & P3 Annette, when you some over with the kids I will make you some magic fairy cakes which have all the necessary ingredients for preparing the brain for P level exams.

Yes, Caz you're right. It's just that I'm partially deaf, so I'm used to asking people to yell!

The cakes sound good, any chance of a food parcel?!?

And I also meant to say, Annette, don't compare yourself to others when you say you're the last to start studying. You have the kids, work, and been in hospital lately and had a great deal of worry around this too, so stop comparing yourself to lesser mortals who have nothing better to do but study!

Keep going, you will pass, and in the future you will wonder if it was ever that difficult (bit like having kids LoL!)
